Ingredients

- 100g dark chocolate, chopped
- 50g unsalted butter
- 75g brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 75g all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 150ml heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon molasses or treacle
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease two ramekins.
- In a saucepan, melt dark chocolate and unsalted butter over low heat, stirring continuously. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, then add egg and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the ramekins and bake for 15-20 minutes until the tops are set but the insides are soft.
- In another saucepan, gently heat cream with molasses until warm, creating a rich toffee sauce.
Notes
Serve warm with rich toffee sauce, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
