Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Scoop dough and roll into balls, then coat each ball in sugar. Place on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set and tops sparkle. Let cool on baking sheets before transferring to wire racks.
