- 227 g unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 200 g light brown sugar
- 100 g granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 300 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200 g chocolate chips
- M&Ms for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle M&Ms on top of the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
