Description

A delightful twist on the classic cookie that combines the chewiness of traditional chocolate chip cookies with the fun of a cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 227 g unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 200 g light brown sugar
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 g chocolate chips
  • M&Ms for topping

Instructions

  2. Cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour and baking soda in a separate bowl. Gradually add to the butter mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Sprinkle M&Ms on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
