- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cherry preserves
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet ingredients until well combined.
- Scoop portions of dough and roll into balls. Place on a lined baking sheet and create a small indentation in each.
- Fill each indentation with cherry preserves.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until firm at the edges but soft in the middle. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
- Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled cookies before serving.
