Description
A delightful dish with tender chicken breast in a zesty and sweet lemon sauce, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast with lemon juice, soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat, cover, and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- After marination, coat the chicken evenly with flour for a crispy layer.
- In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the coated chicken in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes per batch).
- Mix sugar with a few tablespoons of lemon juice in a separate bowl. Pour this sauce over the fried chicken, tossing to coat. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, double coat the chicken. Adjust lemon juice for tanginess. To reduce calories, consider baking instead of frying.
