Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 beef cube steaks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 large eggs

  • Gravy (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Season the flour with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a shallow dish.
  2. Whisk together the eggs and milk in another bowl.
  3. Dredge each cube steak in the seasoned flour, dip in egg mixture, then coat again in flour.
  4. Heat 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the steaks and drain on paper towels.
  7. Optional: Prepare gravy using the drippings by adding flour to create a roux and whisking in milk until creamy.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough before frying for perfect crunch. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
