Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips gently.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For added flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
