Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar together until smooth.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped cherries and chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.

Notes

For added flavor, try using dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
