- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the crumbled bacon into the potato mixture, ensuring it’s distributed evenly.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving for an added pop of color and flavor.
Notes
For a creamier texture, use freshly made mashed potatoes. You can substitute cheddar cheese with other varieties for different flavors.
