Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
- Beat in the egg until well blended.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients and stir until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Spoon the dough into the muffin tin cups, filling them about halfway.
- Add a small dollop of caramel sauce on top of each cookie cup.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow to cool before removing from the pan.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of sea salt on top of the caramel. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week.
