Description

Soft and chewy cookies that capture the essence of caramel apples in every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time and add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and nuts.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Drizzle warm caramel sauce over cooled cookies before serving.

Notes

For a chocolate twist, fold in some chocolate chips along with the apples. Store leftover cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
