- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, minced onion, egg, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together pineapple juice, brown sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Pour the sauce over the baked meatballs and serve.
Notes
Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs. They pair well with steamed rice or noodles. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
