Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter to release their fragrant oils.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, then stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for about a minute.
- Add diced tomatoes, turmeric, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften.
- Transfer the mixture to the slow cooker. Add cubed potatoes and cauliflower florets, stirring to coat. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider using vegetable broth instead of water. Adjust heat levels with more chili if desired.
