Description

A savory homemade bread made with beef broth, perfect as a side for soups and stews.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (or honey)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (12 oz) bottle beef broth
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar (or honey), baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. Slowly stir in the beef broth to the dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the melted butter into the greased loaf pan, followed by your bread batter, and drizzle the remaining melted butter on top. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze wrapped tightly in plastic wrap.
