- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs to the butter mixture; mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the cookies are golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for a few minutes before carefully transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure your butter is at room temperature for easier mixing. For a chewier texture, refrigerate the dough for an hour before baking.
