- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed butter mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
