Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring layers of rigatoni pasta, seasoned ground beef, and gooey cheese, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into smaller pieces. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper into the skillet with beef. Warm through, then combine with rigatoni and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with a side salad or garlic bread. Can be made in advance and frozen before baking.
