Description

A delectable dessert combining rich cheesecake flavors with sweet bananas, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Additional banana slices and whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix the vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then let it cool.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in the sour cream and sliced bananas, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until just combined, ensuring you keep the airiness of the whipped cream.
  5. Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow it to set properly.
  6. Before serving, top with additional banana slices and whipped cream for an extra touch of sweetness and presentation.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe bananas and ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
