Description

A decadent dessert that combines flaky croissants with sweet, nutty filling and a rich custard, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup pistachios, chopped
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, cream, honey, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  3. Layer the torn croissants in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle the chopped walnuts and pistachios evenly over the top.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the croissants and nuts, ensuring everything is well coated. Let it sit for 15 minutes to absorb the mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool slightly before serving. Drizzle additional honey over the top for extra sweetness, if desired.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. For added indulgence, pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
