- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Browning the Meat: In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Sautéing the Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened.
- Combining the Sauces: Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
- Cooking the Macaroni: Add elbow macaroni and reduce heat. Simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Seasoning: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serving: Serve hot, and top with shredded cheese if desired.
